What is Coaching ?

Who needs a coach? What is a coach? Why do you need a coach?

I'm guessing you may have these questions and many more. Only a select few are actually going to be committed enough to their future to invest in themselves and actually commit to the coaching process. Hopefully this is you. However, I believe you will have that feeling of whether coaching is something you are ready to invest in for yourself. You won't need anyone to talk you into it. If you're in the right place in your life to make it worth your time you will know it.

I've done some of the research for you. I've incorporated various publications and articles on coaching on this site for your review. I know when I started hearing about coaching; I wasn't sure where to start. This might be you. Did I only select the ones that advocate for a coach? No and there is a lot of information out there about coaching that is probably not included, but the basics are here. A place to start, a place to learn, a place to gain further understanding of the process.

There are plenty of self-help books and motivational literature out there for the highly self-disciplined individual. However, most of us have not and do not press ourselves to be as effective or productive as we could be, despite those various gusts of energy we get from time to time where we clean the entire house/ every closet/ write down every goal/ exercise daily for 2 weeks etc all to be frustrated with ourselves when we don't get everything accomplished or fully follow through. Tony Robbins mentions in his audio program The Edge that only 10% of people who buy a book actually read the first chapter!!  Good intentions are not good enough!!

Time is a hot commodity in the world today. We don't have enough of it, so where is there time for yet one more thing? Precisely why prioritizing and strategizing is essential to our existence. We simply cannot afford not to!
