In my own words:
I have many passions in life, two of the most important being helping others and music. As a singer, pianist, and songwriter since childhood, I knew I loved music and how it made me feel. Music moved me to be better, made me feel normal, and allowed me to make changes in my life. Despite my love for music, I despised the thought of performing. I was scared to death to sing in public let alone speak in public.
After nearly 10 years of serving as a clinician in the mental health field, I continue to be passionate about working with people in the helping profession realm. However, I learned to embrace that gnawing feeling in my stomach that felt both exciting and scary telling me I needed more. I knew I wanted more, but I wasn’t sure what. I knew by surrendering to that feeling instead of fighting it, I would have the strength to do my life’s work on another level that I so desperately wanted to discover. Never in a million years did I think I would figure out how to combine my two main passions into a business of all things, but it’s possible and the world needs more of us to do the same thing.
My Music
I pursued an opportunity to record my Debut album in Nashville TN with some of the most amazing musicians Nashville has to offer. I selected all the songs on the album specifically to encourage self-discovery and awareness. I learned how to incorporate my love of music and helping others into a business that serves and inspires creative motivated women to do the same in their own lives. My Network DIVAS with DRIVE is designed for women who are ready for this now.
I dedicated my album to my father and wrote the song below in his honor. After my father’s accident and untimely death when I was a child, in order to protect myself, I decided to take a path of trying to look “perfect” and held my emotions in order to be “strong”. This worked for a while, but ultimately was not successful with this long term. While being what I call “fake” for a large part of my childhood, I refused to be that in adulthood and made it my passion to be authentic in my interactions and communications with people. I felt trapped for so long and resisted urges to express myself until finally I had had enough. This song demonstrates my personal thoughts on self-expression no matter what your life experience. So much comes from being honest with ourselves and other people in our lives. When we surrender to this, the real transformation begins. Please join us today!
I was certified through Coach Training Alliance program, which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). But I have to say the best training I ever received was from my amazing coaches and mentors giving me permission to be myself in an authentic way.
